Congrats, Hailee Steinfeld!

The 14-year-old actress just received her first-ever SAG nomination for her first major motion picture role in True Grit — what a feat!

Hailee opened up to Vanity Fair about learning from her big named costars Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon and Josh Brolin. She shared, “Just watching them taught me a lot. I learned more from their actions than from their words. Jeff gave me this little tip on how to make it easier, and I would go home and just constantly roll cigarettes all night.”

But rolling cigarettes with Jeff didn’t distract her from her studies: “We were in a very remote location and I never got [cell phone] service. It was kind of a bummer, but it made me focus more on school.”
