The 14-year-old new Oscar nominee was also featured in Flaunt magazine recently.
Hailee shared with the mag about just how lucky she was to nab the role of Mattie Ross: “I heard 15 thousand, but that’s a big number, so I don’t know! It was huge. A lot of girls auditioned for it. I heard about it through my mom’s cousin. We went to my agent about it and she said the Coen brothers had already gone back to New York and it was down to three girls. But then I got a call to put together a tape and two days later I got called back to read with [the casting director] and then a month later with the Coen brothers.”

she’s growing on me because she doesn’t give a f*ck about Justin Bieber but is too polite to say it LOL but the clip on the second part was funny but she was playing the same character that she plays in true grit, i hope she changes her mannerisms on her next films because I can not stand people speaking like that!

She sounds so mature for a 14-year-old girl! Her Oscar nomination certainly proves that she’s a REALLY talented actress.
As I’ve said before, she’ll be a huge star.
She isn’t a supporting actress in True Grit. That nomination is just wrong.
