OlderLogan Lerman to Join Selena Gomez in '13 Reasons Why'?
We just heard last week that Selena Gomez is set to play Hannah in the upcoming film adaption of 13 Reasons Why, based on the novel by Jay Asher.
Chitter chatter around the web (via MTV) is that Logan Lerman‘s name is floating around the character of Clay Jensen.
13 Reasons Why centers on Clay, a high school studen who comes home to find a box sitting on his doorstep. In it he discovers seven cassette tapes sent to him by his late crush, Hannah Baker, who recently committed suicide.
If Logan nabs the role, he could now say that he knows Selena.

I would seriously love if they worked on a movie together. I don’t know much about the book, I’ll have to look more into it to see if Logan’s right for the part however.

I think it should be empathized that at this point in time Logan Lerman has NO connection to “13 Reasons Why” film adaption. Heck we don’t even know if he’s even been approached. At this poin this is just wishful/hopeful thinking on the part of Internet fandom and really NOT news at all.
It could possbily happen personally I think he would be a great Clay Jansen but it hasn’t happened yet. So let’s not get too excieted or disappointed as the may be.
I really hope Logan gets the role! I’m a huge fan of his :) I’ve read the book, and I think it’ll be interesting to see how Selena & Logan deal with such deep and emotional roles. Hopefully this is true! I’m excited to see Logan in Perks of Being a Wallflower and I hope I get to see him in this too :)
Just saying, Logan Lerman has already been announced officially to be attached to the “Perks of Being a Wallflower”, which starts filming this summer, which is rumored, to be around the same time Selena will probably film hers. His name has not been confirmed or even been recognized officially as being attached to this project. Though, to be honest, I don’t think he will, as he is already attached to another young adult novel turned to film. He’s more into the indie films and more daring films than, no offense, a film produced by a disney actress’ company. Just saying. I love Selena personally, but I don’t really think it’s going to happen.
Other prod co doing 13RW is Strike Entertainment w/ Marc Abraham and Eric Newman. They’ve done edgy and rather dark films like the acclaimed Children of Men so it’s not really just July Moon productions handling it. Logan Lerman rumored to be up for Clay not surprising since he moved to CAA which also reps Selena. But these are just rumors. 13 Reasons just got a screenwriter and doesn’t have a director yet so it’ll be in devt for a while. At the earliest a fall 2011 or 2012 filming for 2013 release. Perks is filming in June and as it’s a drama these only take about 2-3 months filming, done by summer. That aside, i can see Logan take on the Clay character it’s just right up his alley but it’s another YA adapt so he may have to consider that too.
I think Logan Lerman would make an excellent Clay – it’s another dramatic role and he may want a break from the action-adventure movies he’s been doing like 3Musketeers and Percy but it’s another film based on a teen novel he may have to think about this.
He usually looks at who’s the director when signing up for a project so he may want to wait for that. for now these are just rumors so people shouldn’t really get too excited

Yes, Logan Lerman would make a great Clay Jensen. I read the book and he totally fits the role. I would be beyond ecstatic if Logan does this movie but I doubt that’ll happen. :(
Read the book and Logan would make a great Clay Jensen but it all depends on who the producers and studio want. He may not even be considered at all. Jay Asher likes logan but says no one has been cast as Clay yet. Don’t know who MTV’s source is but this could all be wisful thinking on the part of fans. Let’s just wait and see
