Hailee Steinfeld lives out her modern day Cinderella tale on the cover of Parade magazine.
The 14-year-old actress dished to the mag about loving the business that she’s in, taking inspiration from Tatum O’Neal and the big names she’s getting to met. Check it:
On wanting to stay in the business: “My parents have always told me, ‘The day you stop loving what you do, you’re not in the right place.’ As long as I’m loving it as much as I am now, I see myself doing this forever.”
On learning from the youngest Oscar nominee ever: “Paper Moon with Tatum O’Neal was one of the first [movies] that stood out to me. Her role in that was a bit of my inspiration for True Grit—she was so independent.”
On getting starstruck: “I’m definitely going, ‘Oh my God’ left and right. I always get so starstruck. I met [The Social Network’s] Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, and Armie Hammer at a luncheon. Ahhh! That was a good day.”

Just adorable. This is one teen actor that I support wholeheartedly! I was rooting for her at the oscars last night, but it is what it is. And it was a disaster – Melissa Leo – overacted her performance on film AND on the oscar stage.
I really hope she goes far (meaning, she steers clear from Twilight, Disney, etc.). Heres to Steinfeld grabbing another oscar nom, and hopefully a win!
This girl has talent. Her performance in True Grit was beyond amazing.
@amanda: If you were older you’d know that this is just a pictorial for a magazine. She does not dress like that, people pick the clothes for her. She’s just playing with it. She has a killer sense of style.
