Debby Ryan is pretty in a pink Cynthia Steffe dress as she attends the 2011 Disney Kids & Family upfront held at NYC’s Gotham Hall on Wednesday morning (March 16)
It was just announced that the 17-year-old actress will be starring in the new Disney Channel show, Jessie!
The new series follows a starry-eyed teen (Ryan) from rural Texas who moves to New York City to explore life outside her small town. She soon finds herself living in a multi-million dollar penthouse as nanny to a high-profile couple’s four children, one of their imaginary friends and a pet capybara.
As she navigates life in the big city, Jessie finds allies in the frosty butler, Bertram, and the 20-year-old doorman, Tony.

Debby Ryan is so goregous and so sweet in pink because she’s so talented and so pretty.
Sounds like Lola Erase una Vez….I really hope she doesnt sing with a band in cute dresses and pink converse, or falls in love with the “patron” of the house -____- if she does im 10000% behind Lola, she was the original LOLA FAN PARA LA VIDA!
Debby is georgeous, a nice person. Disney can rely on Debs being a great role model, she deserves her own show, she came a long way in 3 years, happy for you Debby, lots of love

I loved the Nanny and yes i agree that this new show sounds just like the original Fran Drescher show. But with the same producers for both shows i’m not surprised. I just hope that they give Jessie some heart and she doesn’t become as pigheaded and opinionated as Bailey. NO OFFENSE to Debby Ryan but, there was a big differnce from the Bailey of the first season and the Bailey we see today. If Jessie is written like her and their personalites match i will not be watching the show.
