Alberta Ferretti on Emma Watson: She 'Lives Life To The Full'

Pure Threads by Alberta Ferretti and Emma Watson is up on and waiting to have a place in your wardrobe.

Designer Alberta chatted with about her relationship with the 20-year-old British beauty. Check out what she had to say:

On when she first met Emma: “Emma and I have a long relationship that dates back to when I dressed her for the promotion of her first Harry Potter film. Since then, we have been in touch and I was very struck by her collaboration with People Tree. I think she is very serious, intelligent, and extremely talented. She was an obvious choice for me on this project as we share a deep sensibility for the green cause.”

On describing Emma: “Emma is a fresh, serene, and intelligent young woman who has a very sophisticated style. She is a young woman who lives life to the full: She is dedicated professionally, involved socially, and is intriguing and cool.”

On what they both wanted for the collection: “We both wanted the collection to be easy to wear and accessible to a wide range of the public. The main inspiration that came directly from Emma was the Jane Birkin mood, typical of London in the late 1970’s, which came when she saw [my] Spring ‘11 collection. However, the collection shows the unmistakable feminine and romantic style of Alberta Ferretti. The two came together in the shared concept of feminine style.”

That’s so sweet and SO true!
The line is so lovely and I wish I could buy something, but it’s so expensive! At least it’s for a good cause! :D

  • Right on

Emma is thinking WAY above her station. Her fans are young girls who don’t have a lot of disposable money to spend, as evident from the poster Celia above.

Grown up women are not going to spend that reckless amount of money to support a teen star in a kiddie franchise that their daughters are obsess with. Seriously, not to mention the clothes are peasant looking and not sophisticated for a career women who can actually afford the outrangeous price tag. And PURE threads? Why would a sexually liberated thirty something year old women want to wear clothes from a line called PURE thread? Maybe the sugar daddies will buy it for their young child bride in a sexual fantasy to pretend their girlfriend is Emma Watson, but no self respecting grown women would want to wear clothes designed by a teen actress.

  • anybody?anybody?

who knows if this woman is saying this for publicity, although I doubt it because Emma is one of the few respectable and elegant young celebs. I absolutely love that she supports good causes, sees the importance of education, and hasn’t let fame make her into an embarrassing waste of human. I’m very excited to see what she does now that HP is over. She’s one of the few artists who deserves her success and is making it count. keep it up Emma— you’re growing into a lovely human being!!

Um no,have you seen the prices of the collection?
It is a very good cause but come on the five items are so not worth the money they’re asking(imo).
