Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon sit and protect Tai the Elephant in this new still from Water For Elephants.
Rob, 24, shared a sweet story about how he charmed Tai on set. “I had a relationship with the elephant, but it was based purely on candy,” he shared during a press conference in Los Angeles late last week.
“I strategically placed mints, like suck on them for a bit and then stick them onto [my body], like covering my entire chest all the time, and [I didn't] tell anyone,” Rob added. “So every time the elephant would be like constantly sniffing me, I’d be like, ‘I don’t know!’ She just really likes me! It’s crazy!’ Yeah, I think she was just sniffing around for treats.”
Water For Elephants hits theaters on April 22nd.

The Tai elephant it huge animal and very smart . The animals feel who love us. Few year ago Iwas schared the dogs ,now I have dog and all dogs love me. Rob I LOVE YOU ONE HUNDRED PERCENT!!

It’s true that animals know when they meet a good person. I think that Robert is making up the “mints story” because he does not know how else to explaine why all the animals love him… They just love him, just like all the twihard teens do, not to mention all the twimoms! He’s smokin hot*!*
