OlderABC Family Picks Up Jane By Design; First Pics!
Check out one of your first looks at the new ABC Family shows, Jane By Design.
The show, formerly called What Would Jane Do, is a light-hearted drama which follows Jane (Erica Dasher), a teenager who lands a job at a hip retail company when they mistake her for an adult.
Jane soon finds herself juggling life both as a regular high school student and as an assistant to a high powered executive in the cutthroat world of fashion…all while trying to keep her true identity a secret.
Nick Roux, Meagan Tandy, Matthew Atkinson and Andie MacDowell also star. Jane By Design will premiere in early 2012.

This kind of sounds like True Jackson VP, except this one she is hiding that she’s young.
This is too funny. It’s the exact same thing that happened to Christina Applegate in “Don’t tell mom the babysitter is dead” movie. The babysitter dies and she applies to be a receptionist and boom, ends up assistant to an executive. Not very original if you ask me.

A few examples: Sonny With A Chance is a ripoff of All That,
The Suite Life is a ripoff of “Eloise At The Plaza” etc.
Looks like a great family show to me, better than much of the unsavoury
offerings by the major networks, can’t wait to see it
