Amber Stevens looks out at the busy traffic on Wednesday (April 27) in Los Angeles.
The 24-year-old Greek actress is set to star as Mimi Marquez in Rent, the Tony winning musical by Jonathan Larson, at the Big Art Labs in downtown LA. The show runs May 5 through May 28.
Rent is a play about being young and learning to survive, falling in love, finding your voice and living for today.
Congrats to Amber on her big role! We can’t wait to see it!
FYI: Vanessa Hudgens also played the role of Mimi in a production last summer at the Hollywood Bowl.

Is it really a big part to be in a musical for a 3 week run of a show that has been around for over 15 years! No.
i saw ana villafane play mimi in the hollywood production. still running until the end of may 2011 at the hudson theater. outrageously good
Just because the show only lasts for 3 weeks doesn’t mean it isn’t a big part. That’s like telling a kid who got a part in a school play it’s not a big deal because the show only lasts a week. And with the show being around for over 15 years she’s probably just proud to be apart of it in some way.
