Tom Felton: Nominated for Best Villian & Moving to LA!

Who else wants to make Tom Felton a two-time Best Villian winner at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards?

Yep, us too!

The 23-year-old actor chatted with MTV after he heard the announcement (which exclusively revealed) and shared, “All I can send is my endless appreciation to everyone who is online and campaigning. I really appreciate it. It’s an endless, sweet gesture, after 10 years, that Draco gets a lot of love. It’s ironic, in a way, but I love it and appreciate it very much.”

Tom also revealed that he’s moving to Los Angeles with girlfriend Jade Olivia and dog, Timber. “I’m looking to moving out to L.A. probably in the latter half of the year, mainly for work reasons. It’s a great way for me to be seen in a different light, after the epic finale of Potter.”

I voted already in the MTV Movie Awards. I remember last year, that we had here, quite the discussion as to whether or not the viewers votes were real. Some here were sure that the list of winners had to have been fixed. I doubt very seriously that the votes are rigged.

There are numerous articles out this month, in the various scientific journals, about the amazing properties of the hive mind, the collective intelligence, aka “group think”.

I’m sure my votes won’t mirror all of the winners, but voting for them allows me to see where my tastes stack up against those of the majority.

Oh, and welcome to L.A., Mr. Felton, whenever you get here.

Oh, wow, The Wall Street Journal, just now broke:

Viacom Inc. said Thursday Judy McGrath is resigning from her post as chief executive of its MTV Networks unit, giving the company’s top executives more direct control of some of its biggest assets.

Ms. McGrath, who began her MTV career 30 years ago as a copywriter in its promotions department, and has been CEO since 2004, will step down immediately. The company won’t name a successor.

So far I’ve voted about 200 times for HP, Black Swan, Inception, and The Social Network. I voted a few times for Tom, but I’m confused about why he’s nominated since he was only in the movie for two minutes. I think Ralph Fiennes or Helena Bonham-Carter should have been nominated for best villain.

    already voted for him :)

I do feel for Draco after the six one forced to be a villian but he’s good at it he needs to win also. Oh my God I can’t believe he’s moving to L.A I hope he realizes the hassle celebs get here oh well Good luck to you Tom and welcome.
