It was just recently announced that Vanessa is in talks to star alongside Brenden Fraser in the upcoming Gimme Shelter.

Personally I haven’t read a reason as to why she did; I’m guessing they might be able to provide her a wider range of opportunities at different scripts. Of course that’s just my guess since I haven’t heard anything concrete as to why she changed.
