Shailene Woodley shines in the just-released trailer for her upcoming film, The Descendents.

The upcoming film follows the story of a wealthy Hawaiian man named Matt King (George Clooney), who takes his daughters (Woodley, Amara Miller) on a road trip to find the man his wife has been having an affair with after a boating accident leaves her critically injured.

Shai recently shared about the flick, “[Alexandra is] a bit different from Amy [from Secret Life]. She was kind of the trouble maker. She did drugs and drank a lot in high school and was sent to a boarding school to kind of clean her up and get her act together. Throughout the movie, she kind of progresses into this incredible person.”

The Descendents opens everywhere on December 16th.
