OlderJamie Campbell Bower IS Jace Wayland!
He’s played a king, a dark wizard and a vampire…now Jamie Campbell Bower will be gracing the big screen as shadowhunter Jace Wayland in The Mortal Instruments series.
The 22-year-old British actor scored the lead role alongside Lily Collins in the first of the series, Deadline reports.
Summary: Clary (Collins) discovers that she can see supernatural beings that no one else can, gets drawn into the world of the Shadowhunters (teens who kill demons and monsters) and learns that her mother is somehow mysteriously connected to all the strange happenings around her.

Great to see it’s all about the looks for you :/ Problem with Pettyfer is that he’s far too sure of his own good looks. Bower, although not as conventionally “handsome” as Pettyfer, he is the better actor and I’d rather that value in a lead character rather than looks! Just my two cents on the topic!

look wise, no he is not my Jace, but dude better pull off the character. They have makeup and stuff to make him look more like Jace, but you can’t fix someone’s acting.

NOOOOOO. He is NOT Jace, but then neither is Alex P, though Jace does need to sure of his looks, just like Alex is. I’am so upset about Jamie, I’ve got nothing against him and he’s a good actor but he is so not the Jace I had in my mind :(

I am so disappointed Pettyfer is not Jace. This has totally ruined how I see the character….what a sad, sad day this has become with this casting. I am debating whether or not I will even want to see the movie now. What crap this casting decision is!
I don’t know about this one, but he IS a great actor. I’m going to save my casting issues/opinions for after the movie has come out.
Alex Pettyfer was the only person I wanted to see play Jace! :c
listen…. Maybe right now, he might not have the perfect look like Jace… but give it a year and he will buff up and get those blond curls…. because honestly speaking, he is the best actor among the 3 choices there was… lets not forget that Jace is not only just a pretty face, but there is much more underneath and I think jamie will be able to play that very well!!! Jace practically changes from book to book, so you need an actor that can adapt to that and play that perfectly!! and who knows, maybe him and Lily have great chemistry!!!
