OlderDebby Ryan: Meet The Kids of 'Jessie'!
We’ve been wondering for months about Debby Ryan‘s new Disney Channel show, Jessie, and who would be joining her in New York City.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid stars Peyton List and Karan Brar plus Cameron Boyce and Skai Jackson will be joining Debby on the new series, coming later this year.
Jessie follows the title character, a small town girl with big dreams who embarks on the adventure of a lifetime when she decides to leave behind starry nights for big city lights.
Thrilled to be on her own and determined not to be intimidated by New York City, she accepts a job as nanny and moves in with highflying couple Morgan and Pandora and their four children, Emma (List), Ravi (Brar), Luke (Boyce) and Zuri (Jackson). With a whole new world of opportunities within her reach, Jessie begins to navigate young adulthood and life in the big city.
She surprises herself with how much she comes to rely on the support and advice of the kids in her care. Also helping to keep her moral compass in check are Bertram (Kevin Chamberlin), the family’s butler, and Tony, the building’s 20-year-old doorman.
We’re still wondering who will play Tony though!

@news: Disney is openly racist so there isn’t a point in casting several kids of different ethnicities. I mean, come on! the channel has never had a single Muslim character in a live-action series and the channel launched 30 years ago and Islam remains to be the second/or first biggest religion in the world, billions of Muslims everywhere.. over 200 Muslims subscribed to Disney Channel. Yet 0 Muslims in their overtly racist and white-dominated TV shows even the ‘Original’ TV shows by regional Disney Channels around the world where there is a lot more ethnic diversity like Brazil, ethnic disparities in those regional Disney Channels are EXTREMELY low. Half of Brazilians are black yet in the poorly written Disney Channel Brazil TV shows the main characters are almost 100 percent White.
Let’s all just accept the truth, the world is racist.

Well I have to agree a little with Jay but just a little why couldn’t she be the nanny to one race family. Although I would have been happy with a all black, white, yellow, brown, red. or even blue if their was a blue race. Just as long as the family was one race.
I just don’t like a mix race family for television.
And yes I love other all race family show I grew up on cosby show loved it and watch the reruns along with George lopez is great. and the nanny reruns.
It is ok for other races to be on the show in fact it makes a better show but make the families one race.
I feel that this is a Great cast Disney in my opinion isn’t racist they just haven’t incorporated Different Cultures in Disney Channel USA but im so excited for Jessie the cast is great and all we can do is support them !!!
GET OVER IT PEOPLE! This is 2011 and an African American man and his lovely family are currently living in the white house. My girl Debby is as intelligent and talented as she is beautiful and “Jessie” is going to be a huge hit. @a thats a lie. On Disney Channel UK there is a show called “How to be Indie” Which has muslims in. (at least I think they are) I dont watch it. But anyway guys stop all the hate!
The whole point of a mix race family is to emphaysis how these kids where abandoned and adopted by the family Jessie works for, and there not really realted so it brings up problems that Jessie has to help solve. Its so obvious why they have chosen a bunch of different kids.
Anyway, this show will be awesome! Nuff said!
This is going to be the best all around show Disney has when all the different races can get along as one family. it will be a lesson we can all learn from . If we could leave the children at that age decide for themselves I don’t believe we would have a race problem. Debby will do a great job, she is a great actress and a great role model.
