Elle Fanning adds a pop of pink in these new shots from the July 2011 issue of Marie Claire.

The 13-year-old Super 8 star not only dished on saying goodbye to big sis Dakota and her passion for fashion, but she also shared what’s really happening in a 13-year-old’s life. Check it:

On attending the 2011 MET Ball: “It was incredible. I met Beyoncé! I’ve loved her forever. She’s so beautiful. And Alexa Chung! She is my style icon.”

On those pre-teen parties: “Everyone in my grade is turning 13, so there are bunches of bar and bat mitzvahs. They’re very dressy. It’s fun picking out outfits. One girl, for her bat mitzvah, wore a huge red ball gown!”

On her passion for fashion: “I love clothes. I always look at runway shows online and know all of the models. I think it was passed down to my sister and me from our mom. She always loved dressing us when we were little.”

On sister Dakota: “It’s going to be really weird when my sister goes to college. I mean, we definitely fight — we’re sisters. But she’s my only sibling, so it’ll be sad.”
