JoJo is 'Jumping Trains' at Girls Who Rock 2011
JoJo rocks out the stage during the 2011 Girls Who Rock Benefit Concert held at the Gramercy Theatre in New York City on Friday night (June 10).
The 20-year-old musician, wearing a bracelet designed by Asha Patel for She’s The First, debuted the title track from her upcoming album, Jumping Trains, during the event which raised twice as much as last year’s concert!
Thanks to GIRLS WHO ROCK offline, more than 30 girls at Uganda’s Arlington Academy of Hope, a partner school of the social media savvy non-profit She’s the First, will be enrolled in school next year.
Girls Who Rock aimed to raise $20,000 through combined online and offline efforts, and the online CauseVox fundraising campaign continues for 17 more days. It is more than halfway to its goal of $5,000, which is the equivalent of five secondary school girls’ annual tuition. 100% of all donations go straight to the cause.
