We’ve read about vampires and werewolves, mixed with a few fairy tales in between, but we really haven’t covered the faery realm.

One of JJJ‘s favorite book series, “Wicked Lovely” by Melissa Marr — is hitting the big screen soon and just got a director!

THR reports that Mary Harron is in negotiations to direct the first film under Universal and Vince Vaughn‘s Wild West Picture Show Productions.

“Wicked Lovely” follows Aislinn, who has the power to see faeries. Quite understandably, she wishes that she could share her friends’ obliviousness and tries hard to avoid these invisible intruders. But one faery in particular refuses to leave her alone. Keenan the Summer King is convinced beyond all reasoning that Aislinn is the queen he has been seeking for nine centuries.

If you haven’t read the series, check them out at Barnes and Noble — the fifth and final book, “Darkest Mercy” just hit shelves.
