Jojo‘s upcoming album, Jumping Trains, may not be done yet, but it has JJJ anxious to listen to it now.
The 20-year-old musician sat down with Billboard mag to chat about the inspiration behind the record.
“With this album, I’ve taken what’s been going on in my life and dropped that into each song,” JoJo shared. “I want people to feel because that’s what we all want. It’s quite transparent for what I was going through.”
“I got feedback [in the past] that said, ‘Wow, she’s taking it too far. I hope JoJo doesn’t follow the path [where artists] exploit their sexuality or curse.’ But that’s not my intention. My intention is to be transparent and truthful. Art imitates life, and that’s what I allow it to do,” she admits.
