David Archuleta will be heading to Jakarta, Indonesia to perform in the POND’s Teens Concert on July 16th!

The 20-year-old singer took some time to answer a couple questions from fans in a video blog.

“I’m looking forward to seeing a lot of the local Indonesian artists that will be performing,” David said, “I know it’s a well-known event for teenagers and I appreciate that it’s a positive thing for teenagers. I like to be a part of positive things for teenagers.

When asked what he thought about Indonesian girls, David laughed and said, “I haven’t gotten to know a whole lot about Indonesian girls but I hope to get to know more of them during my visit.”

He then added, “And not just the girls but all my fans and Indonesia itself.”

Ultimately, David said his main purpose coming to Indonesia is to meet his fans and inspire teens to have the confidence to perform and pursue music.

“I want to showcase the hidden talents and let them not be afraid to be in the spotlight,” he said, “I hope I can be a testament that there’s a way to bring out those talents inside of you and what you love to do.”
