Diego Boneta tosses a football around with some new friends at one of the many beaches in Miami, Fla., on Saturday afternoon (July 9).

The 20-year-old actor, who is currently working on Rock of Ages, recently chatted about his role in the film — Drew Boley, a young upstart who moves to Los Angeles in the late ’80s with dreams of becoming a rock star.

“There’s not a lot I can say about the storyline,” Diego shared. “But there are some similarities to the play and some differences. [Drew is] a dreamer, a rocker…there’s a lot of things we have in common.”
