Lindsey on her character, Lisa: “I was so much like Lisa in high school. I was very into my schoolwork and had little to no social life. I was shy and hadn’t yet found my own voice which I think is a stage everyone can relate to. High school is the time when you start to find where you fit in the world. It’s scary but totally necessary.”
Cassie on working with Tim Gunn: “Amazing! I learned so much from him during our short car rides back and forth to set and between scenes. I believe in learning from our elders, especially if they share the same career, dreams and goals. I absolutely loved working with Tim. He’s a fashion God and his dynamic with my character is hilarious. I couldn’t think of a better fit for that role!”
Lindsey on how to impress a guy: “The craziest thing I’ve ever done to impress a guy was pretend that I was totally into this musical artist he really liked. I was going on and on one day about this artist in front of the guy and it turns out I’d been mispronouncing his name the whole time! He knew immediately that I knew nothing about the music and got a good laugh out of it. It was so embarrassing.”
Cassie on playing the mean girl roles: “I love playing the feisty, bad girl roles. I wouldn’t want to go to work every day and play myself. Every bad girl/bully is that way for a reason and there’s always a lot of unexpected depth to the bad girl. The people who bully are usually the insecure, messed up ones to begin with. Which is why I always tell fans who are being bullied to laugh it off and realize they’re the ones with the problem. You’ve gotta let it go in one ear and out the other. Every challenge makes us stronger.”
