Monique Coleman sings along with audience members during the UN International Year of Youth Culmination Celebration at the United Nations on Thursday (August 11) in NYC.

The 30-year-old UN Youth Champion hosted the celebration, which commemorated the first International Year of Youth to occur in 25 years.

Other event attendees include AllyKatzz.com founder Denise Restauri, Publisher Moira Forbes, Seventeen Editor-in-Chief Ann Shoket, Vivian Thakhuli of the Tomorrow Trust, and Farah Pandith, the State Department’s Special Representative to Muslim Communities.

Monique has been traveling the world for the past year, meeting and getting to know today’s youth up close and personal.
