OlderSelena Gomez & Justin Bieber: Smoothie King Sweeties!
Selena Gomez and her boyfriend Justin Bieber hold hands as they pick up smoothies from a Smoothie King store in the Shops at Liberty Place mall on Friday (August 19) in Philadelphia, Penn.
It was just announced that Selena will be hosting MTV’s Pre-VMA show live on the award show’s black carpet.
“I am very excited to be a part of the 2011 VMAs,†Selena told EW. “After all of my years watching the VMAs, the pre-show has always been one of my favorite parts. It is a true honor to be hosting from the black carpet this year.â€

I don’t get it. They went into a mall, irritated by the crowd, to get a smoothie. That’s all? One stinkin’ smoothie? Can they just send a person to get one for them? Something is telling me that they are only a couple for publicly.

Send someone just to buy a smoothie? That doesn’t even make a sense. Afterall, they just an ordinary people who go out to buy smoothie..
@Kayla: Mightn’t it work the other way? Fans are invested in their favorite celebrities. When those celebrities then make a concerted effort to be seen nearly every day, isn’t that a gift to their fans, showing and reassuring fans that they are OK?
@Kayla: Maybe an investment in a celebrity might be buying their recording or attending their concert or seeing their movie. Maybe it’s an emotional investment, like being moved by a performance and wanting to have those feelings again, so buying another DVD by/with/of them, etc..
So when celebrities go to the effort to be seen, isn’t it incumbent upon their biggest fans to at least write a comment on posts about them, say like on sites such as here?
I try to do that very thing, yet writing is so hard, and since I want to write something that is worthy of a favorite star, I often fail to comment at all. When I can find something that might be good enough, fitting and proper to say, I so often wonder if my words were even good enough to praise them.
I remember that the number of comments here are periodically tallied for each celebrity post on this site, which informs us of our favorite celebrity’s relative popularity. So us fan’s comments do count for a lot.
