Megan Park is a Chip-a-Holic

Megan Park is a Chip-a-Holic

Megan Park blows us a kiss in the October 2011 issue of American Cheerleader mag.

The 25-year-old Secret Life of the American Teenager actress chatted about her role as Grace, being a chip-a-holic and cheering. Check it:

On cheering on the show: “I did [want to cheer], but we never had a cheerleading squad in my school, but I had some friends who did cheerleading outside of school and they were amazing. It’s such an athletic sport and it’s so amazing to watch. I always wished that I had done it, but because there was never a team at school I didn’t do it.”

On her role as Grace: “I actually tried out for Amy first, but when I read the script I felt more like Grace. Everyone else thought I’d be better as Grace, too. The people I read for told me my audition was great, but asked if I could come in the next day and read for Grace. So I went back in and it just fit perfectly.”

On never giving up her guilty pleasure: “Chips. I could give up candy, chocolate and cupcakes, but I could never give up potato chips. It’s my vice.”

This is such BS. I went to elementary school and high school with this chick and we had an EXTREMELY competitive power cheerleading team. We placed top 3 in Canadian Nationals every year that Park attended. I was a team member, and in our years at the school she was never on the team, nor did she ever even make an attempt to try out. I would think she would be careful about fabricating lies about her life prior to acting, because inevitably, someone who knew her in high school is going to come across something like this. Her comment, ““I did [want to cheer], but we never had a cheerleading squad in my school” stuns me. I’ve heard from other people in the acting community that she can be a bit of a diva, but I never thought she was the kind of person who would flat out lie. Doesn’t make me proud to say she’s from my hometown.
