Anna Kendrick shines in this new still from 50/50.

The 26-year-old actress plays Katherine in the upcoming film about Adam (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), a 27-year-old man who is otherwise in excellent health, is suddenly diagnosed with cancer.

He breaks the news to his girlfriend (Bryce Dallas Howard), his best friend (Seth Rogen) and his mother (Anjelica Huston), and each deals with the news and subsequent treatment in different ways.

50/50, which screened at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival over the weekend, opens in theaters on September 30th.
