Sarah Hyland switches up her Emmy gown for a fun and playful Tadashi Shoji dress as she steps out at the FOX Broadcasting Company, Twentieth Century FOX Television, and FX at Fig & Olive Melrose Place on Sunday night (September 18) in West Hollywood, Calif.
With boyfriend Matt Prokop still by her side, the 20-year-old actress slipped on Brian Atwood heels, Lorraine Schwartz jewelry, Arunashi fire opal orchid earrings, and carried Lauren Merkin’s “Lotte†envelope clutch in black satin for her after party look.
Sarah stopped to chat with E! on the Emmys red carpet about the Lea Michele “controversy” that’s gotten her in a bind. After doing an impression of Lea on Fashion Police, Sarah was overwhelmed by Gleeks.
“They are very protective over her, and I didn’t mean it in any harm at all. When Joan Rivers asks, ‘What does she look like on the Red Carpet?’ you do it! She’s hilarious, and it was just in jest and that was it. I hate that it’s gotten to such a level. She knows how to work it, and I can’t do what she does!”

People can be so sensitive and overreact to to dumbest things. I’ve seen the video of Sarah on Fashion Police and she was dead on! It was funny and all in good fun. Lea looks ridiculous when she’s posing on the red carpet and Sarah got it right.
Not even a Glee fan but I have to say, what a brat. Not only was it a tacky thing to do influenced by the catty atmosphere of the show she’s in and desperate to be liked, but her immaturity in responding to dumb fans on twitter as if she’s the only one kids too young to have that kind of access have attacked. Just a complete brat.
