She tells Britain’s You magazine,
“I think that’s why my music appeals to all kinds of audiences, from teens to Radio 2 listeners and even musos (music experts). My love for all kinds of music – from retro-soul to my dad’s Duran Duran and Squeeze albums to the divas such as Mariah (Carey) – comes through in my own recordings.”
Pixie Lott shows off her bright smile as she appears on Loose Women at the ITV Studios in London on Monday morning (November 7).
The 20-year-old musician sat down with the ladies of the program to chat about her new album, Young, Foolish, Happy and even performed a tune off the record.
Pixie also stopped by BBC Breakfast, too.
Pixie recently spoke to You magazine about how she exactly made it in the music industry at such a young age — by staying away from reality shows.
“I’m glad I didn’t take the X Factor route to fame. I wanted to work my own way up. Sure, the X Factor is a great platform – you’ve instantly got attention from viewers and the media – but I wanted to have my own voice and do things my way,” she said.
