Dakota Fanning: Effie's Gondola Lesson
Dakota Fanning gets a gondolier lesson from costar Riccardo Scamarcio while filming Effie in Venice, Italy on Friday afternoon (December 9).
The 17-year-old actress, dressed to the nines in her Victorian wardrobe, was seen chatting with director Richard Laxton about the scene before filming.

Featured in the January 2012 issue of Marie Claire, Dakota dishes on the advice she’d give sister Elle: “If I were to give my younger sister beauty advice, I’d say that although it’s fun to go crazy with make-up, I don’t like seeing young girls trying to be someone they’re not. I think we should keep youthful for as long as possible.”

Horsefeathers, Dakota. People are who they are. You’re now apparently subscribing to a sad, misguided, indoctrinated orthodoxy that was recently indecorously and rather ignobly, further inculcated into you by ASA, in that rapidly failing state, the UK, in response to your otherwise sizzling campaign, Oh Lola!.
Props to Taylor Momsen, whom you ingloriously pushed aside, in order to model as her replacement at IMG agency. (Nevermind you also beat her out of the role of Cherie.) Taylor never caved into crushing pressures to conform to stereotypical “only children” banality, or to provide lip service to hold kids down that way, for the PTB.
Props to Taylor Momsen for maintaining her grudge against all those that tried to limit her so, as expressed in her powerful anthem, Zombie.
