Sammi Hanratty‘s The Greening of Whitney Brown is hitting shelves in January!

The movie follows Whitney (Hanratty), a spoiled pre-teen from Philadelphia, who is forced to move to the country when her parents (Brooke Shields, Aidan Quinn) feel the squeeze of economic hard times.

A fish out of water, far from her comfort zone, she befriends an amazing horse, and undertakes a misguided journey back to her old life, only to discover that her family is her home.

The Greening of Whitney Brown comes with a few special features — a Brooke Shields music video, the “Be That Girl” video with Sammi and Julia Rae plus commentary with Sammi and director Peter Odiorne.

The flick hits shelves on January 3rd!
