Shay Mitchell brightens up the cover of Seventeen Prom in a glittery dress.

The 24-year-old Pretty Little Liars actress chatted with the mag about her prom dream dates, dresses and more. Check it:

On prom dresses: “For my prom I really wanted to wear a bright color — something that was going to pop and stand out. [You have to think about] how you are going to shine in your photo and how you’re going to look different.”

On whether she asks guys out: “In high school, I knew the guys, so I would have asked. Now I’m a shy girl! I see a cute guy in Starbucks and I’m like, ‘Oh…okay,’ and I walk out. But who knows? Maybe I will ask somebody on a date soon!”

On her dream prom date now: “Ryan Gosling. He is so cute and funny. It’s important to have a date who can make you laugh, not someone you’re going to feel nervous around.”
