Alexander Ludwig: 'I've Never Been a Bad Guy Before'

Alexander Ludwig sports an American Apparel shirt in this new shot from the March 2012 issue of Teen Vogue.

The 19-year-old USC drama major and actor chatted with the mag about life on set and playing the bad guy in The Hunger Games.

On the pranks pulled on set: “One day, I was totally sweaty and exhausted after a day of fighting, and I walked into my trailer. I’d already taken off my costume, so I was just in my briefs, and I couldn’t find my clothes anywhere! Amandla [Stenberg], who plays Rue, and Jackie [Emerson], who plays Foxface, had hidden them in the fridge.”

On playing Cato: “I’ve never been a bad guy before, so I loved the idea. It’s been an honor just to be a part of this.”

JJJ Fun Fact: Alexander originally auditioned for the part of Peeta. But when the director Gary Ross asked him to consider playing the heavy, he agreed without hesitation.

The Hunger Games hits theaters on March 23rd.
