OlderAshley Tisdale: New CBS Comedy Pilot!
Ashley Tisdale quickly gases up her car after working out at the gym on Tuesday afternoon (February 21) in West Hollywood, Calif.
The 26-year-old actress tweeted some very exciting news — she’s been cast in a new CBS comedy pilot!
Deadline reports that Ashley will star as Petra, a beautiful and sarcastic assistant to a vintage clothing designer struggling to carve out her niche in New York.
The series will follow an ensemble of young people trying to achieve their creative dreams in these tough financial times.

It sounds like some others projects. Déjà vu. It’s cool for her because she was really great in Hellcats. I hope that it won’t be the copy of something else …

I love Louis CK, I think he’s halarious and I love that he’s writing this. For his sake I hope this show takes off and that they kick Tisdale out by the first few episodes so it actually has a chance to survive. Seriously, she is not funny enough to portray his kind of humor well. Disney humor is more her speed. Louis CK’s humor tends to be more quick, sarcastic and self-aware and she won’t be able to pull it off.
But if it’s anything like his show Louie it should be pretty interesting! I’m definitely rooting for him but I don’t approve of the casting choice. I’m sure they could have found someone more talented. I wish they had looked around some more before settling on her.

@Christine: How would you know if you haven’t seen her doing it yet? I’m pretty sure they didn’t pick her just because she was Ashley Tisdale. They had to cast her first. And they probably thought she did a good job during the casting. Just wait and see, I have faith that she has a lot of talent that has yet to be shown to the public.
She was amazing on Hellcats and I know for a fact she’s gonna make this show amazing too.
