Dakota Fanning - Met Ball 2012

Dakota Fanning hits the red carpet at the 2012 Met Ball held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday (May 7) in New York City.

The 18-year-old actress took a break from her finals week at New York University to attend the annual gala.

Dakota is wearing a Louis Vuitton gown, bag, and shoes with Fred Leighton jewelry.

This year’s Costume Institute Gala Benefit – celebrating the opening of the Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations exhibition – is co-chaired by Carey Mulligan, Vogue editor Anna Wintour, and designer Miuccia Prada.

OK so I cannot resist making my comment on this dress too!! Maybe I should be on Fashion Police Ha Ha. Pretty girl in a pretty dress but the colours a bit washed out on her would have preferred to see her in a stronger colour.
