Older'The Selection': The CW Midseason Pick Up?
Looks like page-to-screen adaption of Keira Cass‘ The Selection might be coming to the CW after all.
Deadline reports that the series might be picked up for a midseason launch.
Screenwriters Elizabeth Craft and Sarah Fain will “likely use the books more of a jumping-off point the second time around.”
The cast is also expected to change, except lead Aimee Teegarden — “who got high marks.”
CW president Mark Pedowitz said at the upfront presentation last week, “I truly believe that there is a series in The Selection.”
TELL JJJ: What do you think? Would you still like to see The Selection on the CW, minus William Moseley and Ethan Peck?

I am very happy!
Very disappointed that they are changing the male leads. Was looking forward to seeing William and Ethan on screen again. I got into The Selection because of them.
Mark Pedowitz must really like The Selection to want to re-do it. That alone makes me hopeful that it will be a midseason pickup. I’m also hoping that the cast changes will not include Ethan Peck and William Moseley or Sean Patrick Thomas. I guess we’ll find out when they start reshooting the show which, from what I’ve read, should be pretty soon.
Ughh NOOO!!! I love WILLIAM MOSELY. What the hell is this B.S :’( CW U ARE BLOODY AWFUL :-@ U cancel THE SECRET CIRCLE AND BRING BACK THE SELECTION but want to change the cast. PATHETIC. I want to slap them. BRING BACK THE SECRET CIRCLE. Sooo many fans wants it back why the hell don’t they listen/read. COME ON. WTF.

Nope. I will not watch it without William Moseley. I wasn’t going to watch it in the first place, but then I heard that William Moseley was going to be in it. Now that they’re dropping him, I just will not watch it. Not unless William is in it.
i think that they should keep william mosely. he is perfect for the role as maxon. PERFECT!!!
even though william mosely will not play aspen they should have him as maxon. he is def royal enough…
I almost finish the first book…. I started the book when I knew this would be a show…. Man I am disappointed they have changed ethan peck cuz I only saw him as maxon while reading… but AT LEAST they didn’t change aimee teegarden because I’d be so damn upset!!!! She is America now!!!!
