Sarah Hyland stops by The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday afternoon (May 30) in Los Angeles.

The 21-year-old actress opened up about her recent kidney transplant, which she first revealed to Seventeen magazine.

“[My surgery] was about five weeks ago,” Sarah shared. “I had kidney dysplasia since I was eight or nine years old, so I always knew this was going to happen. It was just timing.”

Sarah added about boyfriend Matt Prokop being amazing, “He’s been great. Cleaning everything and taking care of me; going to the doctor’s and stuff.”
