Dakota Fanning pulls her hair back for the 2012 CFDA Fashion Awards held at Alice Tully Hall on Monday (June 4) in New York City.

Once inside, the 18-year-old actress (in head-to-toe Proenza Schouler) posed for pics alongside gal pal Lily Collins.

Later this month, Dakota will start work on her next film, Very Good Girls, which also stars Elizabeth Olsen, Demi Moore, and Peter Sarsgaard!

The movie follows the story of two lifelong best friends (Fanning and Olsen) who are both determined to lose their virginity as a rite of passage into the adult world, however trouble strikes when they fall for the same young artist (Boyd Holbrook).

FYI: Dakota is also pictured heading to get her hair cut in West Hollywood.
