Dakota Fanning wears a flowered crown on her head in one of the first images from her upcoming film, Effie.

The 18-year-old actress stars as the title character, who wed art critic John Ruskin (Greg Wise) very young in 1840’s London.

Despite her beauty, Ruskin didn’t consummate the marriage and the devastated Effie eventually falls in love with Ruskin’s protégé, painter John Everett Milias (Tom Sturridge).

The movie is expected to set a release date later this year.

Dakota is also pictured out and about with her mom, Joy, and grandmother in Studio City, Calif., on Friday afternoon (June 8).
