OlderRupert Grint: Olympic Torch Runner
Rupert Grint steps out at the F1 party held at Battersea Evolution on earlier this month in London.
The 23-year-old actor brought along brother James and also ran into former on-screen brother Oliver Phelps.
Rupert was just announced as one of the celebrities to run with the Olympic torch leading up to the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
According to Times, Rupert will carry the torch from Middlesex University in The Burroughs, Hendon, next Wednesday, July 25th.

such an honor… It’ll be great to see Rupert with the Olympic torch :)
Rupert is such an underrated actor. He always gets shoved to the side, whether it be on magazine covers, award nominations or in polls compared to Emma and Dan.
I’m so happy they chose Rupert to run with the torch. I was a little upset with the HP cast’s involvement with the Olympics. Dan and Emma got to be in a video thanking everyone for coming to London and enjoying the Olympics that will be played at the closing ceremony. WHERE THE HELL IS RUPERT IN THIS VIDEO? They didn’t put him in the video. But, now they’re having him run the torch though a part of London which is an even bigger deal ! I’m so thrilled that he’s having such an honor bestowed on him. First The Doctor (Matt Smith), and now Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley). It’s a great day to be a Potterhead and a Whovian.
haha so not fair – that’s my uni and I’m not in London till September!
