Emma Watson Covers 'T: The New York Times Style Magazine'

Emma Watson graces the 2012 Fall Fashion cover of T: The New York Times Style Magazine.

The 22-year-old actress opened up about nailing her American accent for The Perks of Being a Wallflower and what university life was really like for her at Brown. Check it:

On singing her lines: “My grandma said – when I was really young and I’d sing along to the radio – why do you sing in an American accent? I guess it was because a lot of the music I was listening to had American vocalists. And that was something Steve said to me as well: try singing the lines in an American accent. That kind of opened me up. Then I worked with a dialogue coach and I just put in the time to really, really listen and just go over it and over it and over it until I could do it without thinking about it too hard. And I just knew it was really important.”

On university life: “My first two years at Brown weren’t easy, not because I was bullied or because anyone gave me a particularly hard time, but just because, you know, without the collegiate system . . . and at Brown everyone does completely different things and very much chooses their own path, which is great, but it’s also much more difficult, too. You’re not with a group of people all the time at one time.”

Emma has come a distance to handle all the difficulties of college with a career as an actress who has depth, naturalness (amazing!) & vulnerability with strength.
Just keep ignoring the stalkerazzi completely, questions & all.
I hope she’ll have someone she trusts block the car door as she get out so they’re not so in her face.
Emma didn’t seem totally comfortable at Brown with all the offhanded comments & lack of British culture. If she changes her mind & finishes at Oxford, she’s got tons of support & love here & at home – & can breath a sigh of relief when university’s done
Whatever her upcoming projects, at age 22, it’s Emma’s life. And I sincerely hope she can be happy & have people around who truly care for her just exactly as she is . . .
