Anna Kendrick takes over the two fall fashion covers of Modern Luxury’s Angeleno and Manhattan mags.

The 27-year-old actress chatted with the glossies about some good advice she once received, avoiding the paparazzi and who she aspires to be. Check it:

On advice from a friend: “I remember working with a girl who told me, ‘Don’t worry about the money—do what you love and the money will be there.’ There’s not really anything you can do to force it.”

On why it’s good she’s short: “Here, people are too cool for school, which is fine by me. When I go to more touristy areas, it’s a real bonus being the shorty. I’m friends with Joe Manganiello, and he’s so screwed. He sticks out like a sore thumb.”

On who she’d like to be: “I want to be sharp and funny at 80. I want to be the next Betty White.”
