Vanessa Hudgens heads out of her dance class on Friday morning (September 14) in North Hollywood, Calif.
The 23-year-old actress will be honored at Variety‘s 2012 Power of Youth tomorrow.
“I think that everybody should have a chance to follow their dreams, but sometimes following your dreams isn’t always that easy,” Vanessa shared. “So when I was about 16 years old, I became involved with Make-a-Wish while filming High School Musical. We would have set visits with kids. It was amazing. I love the idea of being able to give kids hope and happiness. I’ve been addicted to being a part of the organization ever since.”
FYI: Vanessa tied a Joe’s shirt around her waist.

V is totally awesome!!
I love the fact that even though we see her alot like coming and going to the gym, grocery shopping and just shopping, she’s very normal as an individual. She’s growing into a beautiful young woman who’s learned from the past and heading into the right direction with her life and her career. Despite the amount of hate this young woman receives on a daily basis, surprisingly enough she still carries a huge amount of true supporters and I love her for that. She doesn’t need to prove anything to anyone but herself and her craft, so before you start to make unforgiving remarks about her, PLEASE just take that hate, tuck it into your pocket and either move on or be forgiving because we all need to be forgiven and then loved.
