For all our readers who guessed that our book club pick for October was “Beautiful Redemption” by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl, you were right!
How could we not pick this for October — especially since a movie adaption of the first book in the series is coming out in February.
WHAT IT’S ABOUT: Ethan was forced to leave behind everyone and everything he cares about in Gatlin County. So when he awakes after the chilling events of the Eighteenth Moon, he has only one goal: to find a way to return to Lena and the ones he loves. Back in Gatlin, Lena is making her own bargains for Ethan’s return, vowing to do whatever it takes —even if that means trusting old enemies and risking the lives of the family and friends Ethan left to protect.
WHY YOU SHOULD READ IT: After the jaw-dropping cliffhanger at the end of “Beautiful Chaos,” why wouldn’t you want to read this? In the final book Ms. Garcia and Ms. Stohl couldn’t make us put the book down and we were done reading in just a few hours. It’s magical, breathless and shows us all just what people will do for the ones who care about us and the ones we care for. Our favorite line, we’ve decided, “Everything about me remembers everything about you.”
“Beautiful Redemption” is out on shelves NEXT WEEK!
HONORABLE MENTIONS: “Venom” by Fiona Paul, “Iced” by Karen Marie Moning, “Mystic City” by Theo Lawrence, “Starstruck” by Lauren Conrad, “Ashfall” by Mike Mullin, “The Lost Prince” by Julie Kagawa, “Romeo Redeemed” by Stacey Jay, “London Eye” by Tim Lebbon and “Time Between Us” by Tamara Ireland Stone.
