Carly Rae Jepsen Wrote 'This Kiss' Over Text

Carly Rae Jepsen keeps it cute in a camouflage cami while performing at the Allstate Arena on Tuesday night (October 23) in Rosemont, Ill.

The 26-year-old musician was reunited with pal Cody Simpson for “Good Time” during the concert.

In a recent interview with 4Music, Carly dished on the writing process for her new hit, “This Kiss.”

“The three of us via e-mail, text and phone calls finished the song together,” she shared. “I’ve never written a song that way before so I’d definitely say it was new. But there was something really exciting about being on the phone and singing ideas to each other and then calling each other back and re-writing lyrics in your Blackberrys and iPhones and seeing it all being exchanged.”
