The 26-year-old musician, who performed her new hit “This Kiss” on the program, was just announced as Billboard‘s Rising Star of 2012!

Carly will be honored at the Billboard Women in Music event on November 30 in New York City alongside Katy Perry, Billboard’s Woman of the Year.

“As a singer-songwriter having grown up listening to and being influenced by countless female artists, I am truly honored to be recognized by Billboard with this award,” Carly shared in a statement. “I hope to inspire others through my music the way those artists have inspired me.”
