OlderShawn Johnson & Derek Hough: 'Dancing With The Stars: All-Stars' Runners Up!
Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough came in second place on Tuesday night’s (November 27) Dancing With The Stars: All-Stars.
Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani took home the coveted mirrored ball trophy.
“[Derek's] given me back something that will last forever, and in a thirteen-week time period,” Shawn dished to ET. “Coming off of my [gymnastics] comeback, I lost really the only thing that I knew. I found my confidence and my enjoyment and everything on a gymnastics floor, and when you don’t have that you kind of lose sight of any place to find that. Coming into dancing, where I knew I wasn’t the best; I knew I was somewhat insecure; I really didn’t know where to find it, and each week he kind of brought a little more out of me and let me open up and have fun and find confidence and find a stage. That meant the world to me.”
Congrats to Shawn and Derek on a fantastic season!

Shawn and Derek should have won. Their performance outweighed the others in the whole season.
I think they should totally date!!! So cute together!!
Cannot believe how they didn’t win — everywhere people are shocked about the results. I know I am! But obviously DWTS has to create some intrigue somewhere and find a new male dancer that people would root for, especially as Derek and Maks are both leaving next year. To me, and to their millions of fans, these two are the champs, and that’s what really matters! Thank you for an amazing season, Shawn and Derek!
Yes, SHAWN and DEREK were the BEST and should of been the winners! Can’t believe the other ones took first place, something smells fishy. Was there chemistry between Shawn and Derek?, it looked that way! Really enjoyed them dancing (the most awesome ever! on DWTS)!!!
Shawn n Derek are the true winners. The ABC voting website crashed about 9:30p Monday n they never fixed it. lots of people tried to vote for them all the way to the next morning n could never get on the website.
They were robbed.
Yes, Shawn and Derek were the best! They should’ve won!! I am soooo sad that derek is leaving the show :(. It won’t be the same without him. They were totally robbed in my humble opinion. This was Derek’s last chance to win…he had AMAZING choreography! I think ABC needed the story of a “trophy virgin” to win, although Melissa didn’t deserve it!
