Julianne Hough chills out at Eveleigh Restaurant in Los Angeles with author Nicholas Sparks and co-star Josh Duhamel in the Power Authors Feature for THR.

The trio spoke about the upcoming Safe Haven, out in February 2013.

“She’s a lot closer to home than a lot of people realize because of certain things in my past I don’t really talk about but I can relate to,” Julianne confessed of her character, Katie.

She added of the appeal of Mr. Sparks‘ books, “Women can feel sentimental and in love, when all their fantasies come true. We’re women we like fantasy and heightened romance. You feel something. You cry. You get turned on even. As women we love that.”
