Hunter Hayes: Best New Artist Nominee at 2013 Grammys!

Congrats, Hunter Hayes!

The 21-year-old musician was just announced as a Best New Artist nominee for the 2013 Grammy Awards after his performance at the The GRAMMY Nominations Concert Live!! held at Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday night (December 5) in Nashville, Tenn.

Hunter is up against Alabama Shakes, FUN., The Lumineers and Frank Ocean.

Hunter also scored nominations for Best Country Album and Best Country Solo Performance.

Recently talking with Billboard about writing new tracks for his sophomore album.

“I’m writing for it. I’m thinking about it creatively. But I’m trying not to give myself an agenda. I’m trying not to say, ‘I need this song or that song.’ I’ve got a nice pool of songs I’m excited about, but I think it’ll be awhile before we sit down to it,” he shared.
