OlderSaoirse Ronan & Gabriella Wilde To Play 'Cinderella'?
We’ve seen Snow White come to life, Sleeping Beauty is on it’s way and now Cinderella is up to bat.
Via Variety, Disney is eying three young actresses to play the title character in their live action version of a new film — Saoirse Ronan, The Three Musketeer‘s Gabriella Wilde and Anna Karenina‘s Alicia Vikander.
The three are expected to test for the role for director Mark Romanek‘s still untitled project soon. Universal Pictures also has a Cinderella project in the works.

saoirse’s is my favourite actress and id love to see her play the part ONLY if the scrpit isnt total trashhhh
I’d say Saoirse Ronan is too great, too talented, too good to be in this kind of movie but I’d also like her to reach more younger fans since she’s herself still young – so that she’s versatile (it’s already been proven that she can definitely play dramas, action films, fantasy and romance), it’s going to be interesting to see her in a light(maybe comedy) family movie like this Cinderella. And she’s been doing a lot of indie films lately which, personally I think, won’t help her reach fans due to limitations in distribution, but I think this movie will help her with that. It’s not bad to do a mainstream film for once in a while. That won’t surely hurt her image as one of the most talented and beautiful actresses of her generation.
I surely hope Saoirse would be their pick for Cinderella. She’s Saoirse freaking Ronan, that’s enough reason!
