The 27-year-old musician was just announced as a 2013 Grammy Award Nominee! Carly Rae is up for Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for her hit “Call Me Maybe”.

The Year with Katie Couric special highlights the major headlines from the year and will air Wednesday, December 19th @9:30PM ET/PT on ABC.

Well deserved! She’s worked so hard since being on Canadian Idol, and she is finally being recognized world-wide. For those who don’t know, she’s been pretty famous here in Canada for many years, and has some amazing songs from her first CD you should check out.
how did she get nominated for TWO GRAMMY’S??? It’s an insult to the true musicians out there. She had a lot of fame/success with call me maybe but this kiss isn’t too hot and she really doesn’t deserve to be nominated compared to the other great music released in the past year.
Any music lover would be able to see this.
