'The Carrie Diaries': New Pilot Clips!

Who’s ready to watch the series premiere of The Carrie Diaries?

It’s 1984, and life isn’t easy for 16-year-old Carrie Bradshaw (AnnaSophia Robb). Since their mother passed away, Carrie’s younger sister Dorritt (Stefania Owen) is more rebellious than ever, and their father Tom (Matt Letscher) is overwhelmed with the responsibility of suddenly having to care for two teenage girls on his own.

Carrie’s friends – sweet, geeky Mouse, snarky Maggie (Katie Findlay) and sensitive Walt (Brendan Dooling) – make life bearable, but a suburban life in Connecticut isn’t doing much to take her mind off her troubles.

Then, she meets Larissa (Freema Agyeman) and is whisked away by the bright lights of the Big Apple.

The Carrie Diaries premieres Monday, January 14th @ 8PM ET/PT on The CW. Check out some clips below!

Except Carrie’s father left the family when she was a kid… like a really young kid. And there was never a mention of a sister in SATC. Ugh inconsistencies bother me, even when they come from the person who wrote the source material. Get your stuff right, lady!!

I think this show will not be for diehard fans of the Original “Sex and the City;” this is definitely going to be a show for young millennials’ who aren’t invested in the original series. I wasn’t sure I would want to watch it, but after talking to my DISH co-worker we both are going to tune into the new series. I’m a fan of the original “Sex and the City” so I’m sure this series will not disappoint; from the previews the producers did a great job on choosing a young Carrie. Unfortunately, this show airs the same time as some of my family’s favorite shows, but with our DISH Hopper we can record up to four programs at the same time and we can all watch in different rooms; this is going to be a lifesaver for us.
